Dr. Kevin Miller began his undergraduate study of psychology in 1991 at the University of Portsmouth, England. His formal studies concluded with a doctorate in psychology from the University of Surrey, England during which he completed a two year placement at an outpatient addiction centre, and a one year placement in adult mental health. His research focused on investigating the role of psychological mindedness in addiction treatment, and the development of an outcome monitoring tool for addiction intervention. His employment experience includes psychotherapy for adult and adolescent mental health and addiction. He is currently employed in private practice. His current interests include investigating the role of attachment trauma in the development of addiction and developing effective intervention strategies for trauma.
