Scotchtown Volunteer Fire Department has some of the most State of the Art Equipment available including the Fleet of Fire Trucks! The Fire Trucks they have are 2010 or Newer! The Equipment that Complement Those Trucks is also Top of the Line and Well Maintained & Inspected Weekly! There is some Unique Equipment that they have which the CBRM Fire Service & Volunteer Fire Departments would love to have available to them. But it's not the Flashy Big Red Trucks with Flashing Red Lights that you can see. Its all the Great & Brave Volunteers that Risk There Lives For Nothing In Return! And Scotchtown Volunteer Fire Department Does it Proudly and all with very little Money from the CBRM So Support Scotchtown Volunteer Fire Department When They Ask!

The Southwest Margaree River starts at the northeast corner of the Lake, in Scotsville, and empties into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Lake Ainslie is located on the Western side of Cape Breton Island, and is a rural area, with small communities settled around the Lake.
