In 1989, she graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia receiving her Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Management and Marketing specialization. Lesley has made Lethbridge her home since 1990 when she began her career in Human Resources working for the Lethbridge Lodge Hotel and then the Green Acres Foundation, two of the bigger employers in the city at the time. In 1992, the opportunity presented itself to Lesley to start a business of her own when she was asked to look after the plants at a Chiropractor's office; because of her love of greenery she jumped at the chance and Pro Plant Care was born.
