After nearly 30 years as a beloved neighborhood hangout, Kits Billiards finally closed in late 2012. The early months of the following year saw the room stripped bare and rebuilt as the comfortable, well-appointed and inviting bar known as Colony.

Landyachtz started in the fall of 1997 when Michael Perreten and Thomas Edstrand met up at the University of Victoria. They had been friends and skated together in elementary school but had not seen each other in years.
