Lococina is a design studio and a manufacturing company of women’s fashion and accessories. It offers exclusive fashion designs that are produced in Lococina atelier in Ottawa as well as unique jewelry created in Lococina metal smith shop.
Lococina is women’s clothing and accessories company that was launched in 2011 by two sisters Elena Jones and Mila Mumulidi. Its innovative designs and use of natural fabrics have gained the company popularity and loyal following over the past years. In 2013 Lococina had its first show abroad, participating in London Fashion Week, where Lococina collection was very well received and brought European customers to the business. This year Lococina is celebrating the opening of its first stand-alone boutique in the heart of Ottawa on Dalhousie Street. We at Asmini Fashions came to Canada from Tanzania Africa. That is also where the name Asmini better known as Jasmine comes from. The Jasmine flower is a small and beautifully fragrant flower that we grew up with. We can still smell the fragrance, especially during wedding times when both groom and bride would be covered in garlands made of Jasmine.
The motivation for starting Asmini Fashions was to create a place for affordable scarves as well as some items from back home. This is why we also carry Khangas and Kitenge Material. As we grew the site we have also started to offer some beautiful items from India like our pashminas and mandalas.
