Denise Bukowski has worked in book publishing in Canada since 1970, for the first 16 years as an editor and since 1986 as a literary agent. As a staff editor Denise worked for Holt, Rinehart and Winston, McClelland and Stewart (1973-79), McGraw Hill, the Art Gallery of Ontario (Head of Publications), and Douglas & McIntyre (Editorial Director). As a freelance editor she worked for just about every other publisher in Canada, including Penguin, Key Porter, Doubleday, HarperCollins, and University of Toronto Press.Born in Buffalo, Denise Bukowski grew up in Rochester, New York. She graduated from Boston University and spent her third year at Leeds University in England

Cabbagetown Women's Clinic, established in 1989, was among the first clinics in Ontario to provide medical services to women seeking a legal and safe abortion. The clinic is licensed as an Independent Health Facility (IHF) funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and long-term care. It is also a registered member of the National Abortion Federation (NAF). Cabbagetown Women's Clinic provides free services for up to 23 weeks. Procedure is completely covered by Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). Patients who are not Ontario residence, please call the clinic for appropriate fees.
