Although we are based in Winnipeg, we have members throughout Manitoba.Our organization was originally formed in response to the heightened threat to Winnipeg's extraordinary American elm population by Dutch elm disease. Over time, new threats have placed our urban forest at risk. Welcome to The Winnipeg Children's Access AgencyWCAA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to facilitate contact between children and their family members in a safe, neutral and child-focused environment.We offer supervised visits and supervised exchanges (also referred to as 'transfers') for families who have experienced some level of conflict in their relationships.We act as an independent body whose primary goal is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children by providing a secure and comfortable environment in which visitation and exchanges can occur. We do not make assessments or judgments with respect to whether a parent should or should not be supervised.To ensure our independence, we do not become involved in negotiating access conditions between parties, provide counseling, act as messengers or mediate disputes. We instead refer the parties to their respective lawyers to address any access concerns.
