Anatoli Souvlaki was opened by Helen & Thomas in the spring of 1984. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations. Continuing in this tradition, with the key focus on quality and maintaining their parent's vision, Alexi and Iani have successfully taken over the Anatoli's and have brought the restaurant to a whole new level. Anatoli's is able to deliver the time honoured tradition of friends, family and food. Benefiting from years of experience in Canada and Greece, they combine the core value of home cooked meals and have mastered the perfect concoction of taste and style.

He later moved to London England and started apprenticing in big hotels like the Empress Hotel and Hyde Park Hotel untill he moved to Vancouver and started to work in fine dinning restaurants to mention a few, Da Vito Restaurant in Gastown, La Casa di Emberto and Cafe de Paris from the late seventies till the early eighties when he opened Carmelo's in West Vancouver and remained there untill 1994 when he sold the restaurant to open Bravo Cucina.
