Hempyrean was established in 2002. We are a retail store that carries all natural organic clothing, accesories, hemp enriched cosmetics, and hemp foods. The natural organic fibres we carry are made from hemp, bamboo, soy, organic cotton and tencel. Hempyrean searched for small independent companies from across North America who manufactured organic clothing using fair trade practices and who shared our same beliefs. We carry a large selection of pants, shirts, tank tops, dresses, skirts, shorts, yoga wear, socks, and jackets for men and women. The laurel leaf is a symbol featured in the Centrés logo.History of The Laurel CentreIn the early 1980's those working in the addictions field realized that many addicted women - up to 80% - were also struggling to overcome the trauma resulting from childhood sexual abuse. Many were unable to deal with their addictions because their lives were too painful.At the time there were no services for women that treated addictions and abuse together.
