Formed in 1990 by the merger of three insurance offices from the Chatham, Tilbury and Blenheim areas, Dillon Pudwell McNeill welcomed Pollard Insurance of Harrow into the cluster in 1995. As of November 1, 2004, the group changed its name to Dpm Insurance Group. January 1, 2005 marked the entry of Brown-Barnett Insurance, located in Essex, into the cluster family.

In 1876 McGillivray Mutual Fire Insurance Company was formed by a group of farmers who wanted to purchase insurance at a more reasonable cost. In 1882 London Township Mutual Fire Insurance Company was formed under similar circumstances. These two Mutuals operated separately until 1998 when they amalgamated to form Middlesex Mutual Insurance Co.
