MV-1 Ottawa is part of the Francis Canada Truck Centre Inc. business which has a long history of serving the Heavy and Medium Duty Truck needs of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec Since 1910. We are proud and excited to announce that the MV-1 is now available in Ottawa. The MV-1 is the first mobility vehicle that was designed from the ground up for wheelchair accessibility and is proudly built in North America. The MV-1 comes equipped with a deployable integrated ramp for quick and easy passenger access, and has a spacious interior that can accommodate up to six occupants, with the optional jumpseat. The MV-1 is the only accessible vehicle that meets or exceeds the stringent vehicle guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Canadian CSA D-409 safety standards.

Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, I have made Ottawa my home for over a decade while pursuing my higher education. I received my Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa and my Master of Arts from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University in 2012. I was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2014. I completed my articles of clerkship at Mann Lawyers, LLP, where I received extensive training and experience in the areas of family law, civil litigation, wills & estate planning, real estate and corporate law. Before beginning my legal career, I worked with UNESCO in Bangkok, Thailand, where I researched human rights in the context of HIV/AIDS in Southeast Asia among vulnerable high-risk populations. I later worked for Citizenship and Immigration Canada for two years, where I focused on health operational policies, quality assurance and risk management. I am functionally bilingual, and I have conversational level Spanish and Japanese.
