The income is used provide this services and support other Salvation Army activities in Midland.Your donation of gently used clothing and saleable household items is appreciated. Please bring to the store while the store is open. This allows us to get the item inside out of the weather and prevent any unauthorized removal of items over night Mattress, damaged appliances, dirty furniture and similar cannot be resold. We request that they not be left on the property. We must absorb the cost of disposing of these types of items, which only increase costs and reduces funds available to serve the community.
The first Candy Shoppe was opened in the spring of 1999 in the little strip mall just north of Webers Hamburgers ( and beside Tim Hortons) on hwy 11 just north of the town of Orillia, Ontario, Canada. It was a very small, narrow store space with no storage areas, so within the first 5 years, we got very tight and crowded and decided to lease an empty building almost directly across from the first store and on the southbound Hwy 11 lanes.
