Bruce Carscadden Architect is a design studio based in Vancouver, Canada. In just a decade of practice, our firm has designed and executed numerous building types for a variety of clients. Current work is typically public in nature, with an emphasis on community recreation projects in the Lower Mainland and Interior of British Columbia. Always, we approach our work with the minimum solution as the constraint, seeking to amplify it without excess complication so that the inflection is inherent and empathetic.

The Apartment is a concept created by some good friends who were tired of the pretentious downtown bar scene. They wanted to create a place to hangout with friends, shoot pool, listen to live music, and meet new people. After many, many years of extensive partying, these friends came up with the concept of an apartment themed bar that brought to life a casual atmosphere with a subtle sense of humor.

The firm was founded in 1987 by former managing partner and long-time Vancouver resident Peter de Visser, who after 24 years retired at the end of 2011. History When it first opened it doors in 1974, Seton Villa was a unique concept. The Board of Directors envisioned a seniors' retirement centre, where seniors would play an integral role in creating a climate of "caring and sharing", the motto that guides Seton Villa today. Board of Directors Action Line Housing Society's volunteer Board of Directors meets regularly to ensure that the mandate and mission of Seton Villa is being met in the best way possible. Board members come from all walks of life, and bring their interest, skills and expertise to the organization.
