Established in 1986, Deerfield Farm & Riding School is a competition sport horse facility catering to all levels of riders, showers and non-showers alike, from beginners (Adults and Children) through to the experienced Gold and Platinum competitor. We work to develop strong basic riding skills with an emphasis on safe horsemanship as well as smooth and rhythmical gaits; all with an eye toward increasing the rider's confidence, control, and success at whatever level of endeavor.

Most of our students come to Felix's once or twice a week, and continue doing so on a year round basis. The consistent and relaxed exposure to water is important in making swimming an enjoyable and beneficial part of your child's life.A swimmer of any age ( 8 months - adult) and any level of ability can enter our program and find an appropriate class at any time of the year. CARD has provided therapy in the fields of cognitive therapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation, medicine, and adapted sport. CARD's therapeutic horseback riding program benefits riders who seek physical or cognitive therapies, who have a variety of disabilities, including Autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis. The swinging, repetitive motion imparted to the rider through therapeutic horseback riding helps improve balance, coordination, strength and muscle tone, while gently mobilizing the joints. Therapeutic riding also improves sensory processing, focus and concentration, the ability to learn concepts, and communication skills.
