The history of the Winnipeg Aboriginal Sport Achievement Centre has always been removing barriers for our children. It continues to remove barriers for its participants in all programs.PROGRAM GOALSWASAC delivers a number of programs thoughout the year. Each of these programs maintains a strong focus with four key areas for both employees and participants: Belonging, Mastery, Independence, and Generosity.BelongingIn all WASAC programs, we strive to create an environment where participants and leaders feel welcomed. Every person who is involved in our programs receives a shirt with the program name stamped on the front. This is to show them that they are part of a team.MasteryEveryone feels proud when they look at themselves knowing that they have talent. WASAC programs are designed to provide workshops for both participants and leaders. Youth mentorship plays a big role in our organization and we go above and beyond to remove barriers for people to notice their talents. We give many opportunities for participants to shine in sport, art and crafts, and cultural workshops.
To organize, nurture, and educate youth in the spirit invoked by the ideals 'God and Ukraine'; in forming their Christian and patriotic values as well as morally sound individuality, to cultivate the unity of Ukrainians around the world, in readiness to work for the good of the Ukrainian Nation and to strengthen its statehood.MOTTO'God and Ukraine'Based on this highest of ideals, CYM's programs promote the principles of Christian ethics and pride in the Ukrainian national heritage. Emphasis is placed on one's role as a citizen of one's country and one's role as a member of the Ukrainian community.PROGRAMSWeekly Meetings: The youth chapters meet weekly, participating in programs which include discussion groups, sports, singing, arts and crafts, and field trips. Lectures and special interest groups enable the youth to broaden their knowledge in areas such as Ukrainian history, geography, literature, and traditions.
The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) is the voice of Canada's Ukrainian community. The Congress brings together under one umbrella all the national, provincial and local Ukrainian Canadian organizations. Together with its member organizations, the UCC has been leading, coordinating and representing the interests of one of Canada's largest ethnic communities (1.2 million) for 70 years and instrumental in shaping Canada's social, economic and political landscape.

MCAMMember CategoriesMCAM is a non-profit trade organization affiliated with the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada and represents plumbing and heating contractors in their relationship with the construction industry, legislative departments of municipal and provincial government and other industry-related bodies. Also represented are Associate Members (suppliers to the mechanical contracting trade), Affiliate Members (representatives of related associations) and Mechanical Services Contractors. There are separate fee structures for each category. Both Union and Non Union Contractors comprise its membership.MCAM has a long record of service in Manitob,a having grown out of the Manitoba Branch of the Canadian Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association.The affairs of the Association are conducted by a Board of Directors elected from the membership.
