Definitely the best bar / restaurant in the area. Great Patio in the back and very cozy atmosphere inside. This is a designated heritage building and there are old pictures of the area on the walls which is a nice touch.
The food is great and it's a mix of Italian, Mexican, American. What I like most is the open kitchen. The food is prepped in the open! It's a refreshing change from almost all other restaurants that prep food behind closed doors (makes you wonder what's really crawling in the kitchen).
The Bar has good selection on tap and there is a comfortable lounging area in the back by the fireplace as well.
If you are looking for something in this area, I would definitely recommend going here.

Unlike other reviewers' experience, the service we received was exemplary - friendly, attentive and fast.
Food showed imagination, especially the crab croquettes with a spicy sauce surround them. Ingredient quality was beyond reproach and everything was cooked to the degree as ordered them, no overcooking here at all.
Definitely going back there again this year.

This place is great! I was there a few days ago with a friend and had some lunch. Lots of space and not too crammed like the other diners in the area. The omellette and pasta was perfect. The waitress was very nice. I also had a chat with the new owner and he was very friendly joking around with the chef. Would definitely go back!
