Restaurant Shalimar was started in 1990 by Mrs. Uma Nigam, with the assistance of her son Jyoti Nigam. Using knowledge gleaned from her upbringing in Northern India, Uma was the first to bring Indian cuisine to the Sherbrooke region. Over the years, Shalimar has been able to adapt and improve its cuisine according to the refining tastes of its clientele, particularly vegetarians and vegans. During the summer, vegetables and spices are grown in our garden organically and then end up on your table. We offer meat of lean cut and the vegetarian menu as varied region. Traditional family recipes handed down from generation to generation.
Delicious food! I’ve had an Indian 10 weekend cooking course from a biochemist (we worked at the same University) from Indian (you’d be surprised how easy it is to make saag paneer, other recipes not so much!) and eaten Indian food at restaurants in 5 US states including those on both coasts so I have some experience. Service is very good and the owner is very friendly. Carry out is very good & flexible if you want something from regular menu that’s not on the carry out menu they are ok with it. Read more

Four Seasons super buffet is the newest addition to the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Our restaurant is located at 1186 Memorial Ave, Unit 10. New Restaurant specializes in Canadian, Chinese and Japanese food. And we offer more than 90+ different items in our buffet to give you the variety that you have never experience before. We have been here several times with our large family. The waitress has always been super friendly and helpful. Food is abundant and delicious. Best buffet deserts too. Have missed going here while they are closed for renovations. Read more
Suzie Quimper a d'abord travaillé dans quelques restaurants de la région pour s'apercevoir que le goût de cuisiner et d'apprendre était de plus en plus grand. Elle a donc décidé d'aller étudier en Technique de gestion des services alimentaires et de restauration au Collège Mérici à Québec. Ses études l'ont mené à faire un stage au Truffé à Québec avec le Chef Alain Bolf et au St-Amour avec le Chef Jean-Luc Boulay. Par la suite elle a suivi une formation en pâtisserie au CSAT Fierbourg. Au cours de cette formation Suzie a été invitée pour un stage à Strasbourg et ensuite un autre en Vendée, à St-Pierre du Chemin au Fournil de Valentin dans un petit village de 1000 habitants. Suzie a aussi travaillé dans plusieurs restaurants à Québec pendant sa formation académique. Elle avait le désir de revenir dans sa région et de pouvoir partager sa passion avec les gens de la place. Suzie cumule 17 ans d'expérience en restauration et Suzie Quimper Traiteur existe maintenant depuis 4 ans.
