Everything is made in house from scratch by a team of French from France bakers. We are pastry bakers. We use organic local fruits and veggies whenever possible. We are always working on improving our recipes and customer service. We believe in quality over quantity. We don't like food to go to waste so we thank you for your understanding when our display is not fully stocked at the end of the day. That's the price to pay for fresh products.
Kirsten and Keiran met while working in the kitchen at the Opus Hotel, and the rest, they say, is history. Wanting to unite their skills and their love for good food, they opened The Sweet Spot in the fall of 2010. With Keiran's wealth of knowledge on the savoury side and Kirsten's years of experience with pastry, they wanted to create a unique and gourmet shop filled with quality products. Using local and organic ingredients when possible, they put care and pride into everything they do.

Jennifer Bell attended Dubrulle Art Institute in Vancouver and graduated in 2006 with a strong interest in pastry. She headed off to England where she worked in the world of pastries and eventually ended up in the seaside town of Brighton working in a cupcake shop.
