Focus is a community-based, non-profit organization whose purpose is to enhance employment opportunities in the South Simcoe area. Focus began in 1985 providing a number of community services and in 1987 employment services were added to the organization. This gives Focus vast experience delivering employment programs in South Simcoe County. Focus has always been committed to ensuring the health of the community. Economic health through employment is a key factor in a healthy community and it is in this area that Focus continues to concentrate its efforts. By working closely with other community partners and services, Focus has been able to achieve economy and efficiency while providing quality service.
Midaynta Community Services is a registered Canadian charity organization that provides settlement services and other programs that advances education by providing courses, seminars, meetings, counseling and other support services for refugees & immigrant in need. Midaynta Community Services is a social and settlement services agency, working to improve the quality of life of newcomers in Toronto and vicinity. Midaynta was established in July 1993 as a family reunification project, and incorporated in August 1995 as a non profit organization committed to identifying and responding to the needs of the community. I'm pleased to be part of Midaynta, which abides by a policy of non discrimination and equity. Our services are open to everyone and are free of charge. We have a team of professionals who are committed and passionate about their work. Our success is built on strong working relationships with our stakeholders. Due to our diversified services, Midaynta is able to assist newcomers from their initial start up process upon arrival until their full adaptation in the society.

Jane-Finch is a community north of Toronto. The area is named after the intersection of Jane Street and Finch Avenue. Jane-Finch is internationally known for its ethnically diverse population, crime rate and poverty. The community's socio-economic status is attributed to inadequate urban planning and social infrastructure. Today, residents continue to fight hard to improve life in the community.
