While most of our students are on the younger side, we have a large number of adult students who study music to enrich their lives. I have been offering counselling services to children and youth in B.C. for 20 years. I worked for a time on the mainland, but returned home to the Island 8 years ago with my husband to raise our son. I am honoured that you are interested in my services and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been described as slightly non-conventional in the counselling world, which suits me perfectly, and also tends to suit children and youth who are trying to stand up to the force of the problems in their life. I am very comfortable working with this population, and I feel fortunate that I can connect with kids and teens the way I do, conventionally or in a way that makes sense to them. I believe that people hold many stories about themselves, but when they seek me out, it is usually because they are focused on stories about their problems.

Welcome to the Central Saanich Seniors Centre (CSSC) in Brentwood Bay. We are a comfortable, friendly place where active seniors meet to socialize, exercise mind and body and enjoy coffee or meals together.The CSSC Association established 'The Centré in the 1980's and now provides many recreational activities, social gatherings and educational workshops for over 290 members. Our diverse membership is mainly from the Saanich Peninsula, from Royal Oak to Sidney. CSSCA is an independent Society, solely operated by volunteers.Our purpose is to provide friendship and healthy programs to all those aged 50 plus.
