Ten years later it became the Fred Douglas Lodge Personal Care Home and Seniors Apartments. The personal care home on Burrows was first opened in 1972 and expanded in 1990 to meet growing demand.During the 1980s, Fred Douglas Society and Manitoba Housing partnered to create Fred Douglas Place, a life lease building on Vaughan Street. It opened in 1988.The redevelopment of four floors above the Vaughan Street YM-YWCA was completed in 1999. Fred Douglas Heritage House is a supportive housing complex for seniors.

This spawned our sister-company, Falcon Shuttle Rail Inc (FSR).Operating out of our home-base, FSR quickly expanded its reach nationally with representatives in Eastern Canada - quickly establishing itself as an industry innovator and leader in Canada.Two years later marked our very own expansion period; this was kicked-off by our first expansion to Prince George - an industrial hub in Northern BC. It is here that we do a lot of servicing for some of our larger northern-based clients, and it has also allowed us to extend our presence throughout our home province.While all this was going on, we managed to add a 17,000 square foot addition to our head office in Surrey.
