Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Toronto, we invite you to experience the Toronto golf challenge. One of the most common phrases we regularly hear about the Royal Woodbine Golf Club in Toronto is that this is 'golf as it should be!'Challenging, demanding, lush, and close enough that you can grab your clubs and get to the first tee in under twenty minutes from just about anywhere in Metro Toronto. Nestled discreetly in the Mimico Creek valley, Royal Woodbine Golf Club offers high and low handicappers a richly rewarding game on par with the area's finest public and private clubs.
Once the site of a prosperous bootleggers operation during prohibition, Whisky Run Golf Club is a picturesque 27 hole golf course located near the shores of Lake Erie just east of Port Colborne. Each of the three nines is unique in its design, length and challenge. After purchasing the property in 1984, owner Lou Nieuwland took a walk around the perimeter, came home, and drew up the plans for a golf course.
E-Mail AddressWelcome to Calerin Golf ClubThis nine hole course, designed by Doug Carrick, is a real hidden treasure in the Niagara Escarpment. With two completely separate tee boxes, Calerin plays like an 18 hole course. Fairways are first class at this course, as are the greens. There is an ample smattering of oddly shaped sand traps to watch out for throughout the course.Good drives off the tee on the 8th hole and 9th will clear the bunkers and save you a few headaches. The hillside location and rolling terrain give the course both uphill and downhill fairways, making for a good, all-around challenge for any golfer. The sixth hole is the greatest challenge at Calerin. A long par four at 383 yards, it doglegs right to an elevated green. If you shave too much off the tee shot, the gain achieved in yardage will have you in a difficult position for your approach. The green is well guarded on the right hand side by trees and sand. The greens at Calerin are exceptionally well maintained, with varying degrees of undulation and speeds preventing gimmies for even the best putters.
We love golfing at Stonehaven. The prices are very reasonable, the course well-kept and they even have a drinks cart. I just started golfing again a couple of years ago and I wanted a course that wasn't too busy. This is the place - I've never felt as if I were holding someone up and have rarely been held up myself. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The course is surrounded by farmland so is quite serene. The holes can look deceptively short and easy but each one has its own little quirk so it's harder than it looks. Some of the scenery is simply stunning. It's one of my favourite courses ever.Read more
