Voted 'Best Greek Restaurant' for the 18th year in a row by Readers Choice. It starts with fresh ingredients fire-grilled with oil extracted from the sacred fruit of the Gods. The use of this olive elixir is another one of the many health benefits reflected in the Mediterranean fare offered at Mr. Greek. No MSG or tenderizers are used in any of the recipes, and oils used are trans fat free. A healthy regard to great taste is also part of the Mr. Greek dining experience. It begins with one or more of delectable dips and amorous appetizers that are ideal for sharing. Next comes a delicious salad, before the presentation of your main event: a succulent treat from the sea, splendid pasta or a tender piece of meat or chicken expertly grilled. Their aim is to make every occasion a real feast of splendor. Mr. Greek first opened its doors in February of 1988 on The Danforth in Toronto. Pita Mania is a unique restaurant, not only in Essex County, but possibly in all of Ontario. I’d like to take a minute to explain why. Each day we prepare enough ingredients to last that day – if we run out, we simply close. We have a limited menu, which allows us enough time to prepare everything fresh on a daily basis. Every day, we hand-chop romaine lettuce, red onions and field tomatoes. Only the finest products are used. The chicken we serve can only be found in 5-star restaurants. Daily, we take a breast of chicken, remove all the skin and fat, leaving 100% pure white meat. We then cube, skewer and marinate it for 8-12 hours. Each chicken skewer is grilled fresh, on the spot, when ordered. Wrapped in a grilled pita bread, topped with fresh vegetables hand-chopped that day and served with our homemade special sauce, it’s no wonder the Chicken Supreme has become our signature dish!

Ancient Greece awaits joyful rediscovery at this handsome Collingwood restaurant that evokes the ruin of the old country in the most vivid of ways. Fresh-from-the-hills guests wash down flambéed saganaki cheese and grilled octopus drizzled in olive oil (imported straight from Greece) with shots of ouzo in Tholos's trio of intimate dining rooms. The two-story space is a recreation of an ancient courtyard designed to transport diners back in time. The entire experience is splendidly enhanced with a backdrop of Greek music, and the result is a lively affair that's loaded with treats for every last of your senses.

Was at Blue Mountain over the Thanksgiving Long Weekend and was looking forward to checking this place out! The service was alright but the food was great! Combine that with the atmosphere and it was a great dinner, overall. The restaurant is designed like an outdoor courtyard.. there is stuff going on everywhere and much attention to detail has been invested. The Flaming Saganaki was great and the traditional Greek dancing was better! If you go do Blue Mountain definitely try this place out for at least one dinner.. It is a touch expensive but definitely worth it for the experience. Read more
The Beacher is a landmark restaurant destination in the Beach of Toronto. Friends and family have been gathering at 'The Beacher' for over two and a half decades for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The service was slow and the portions were small. I was disappointed in the blandness of the salmon. If I had been paying for it, I would have been annoyed. If I go back, it will be someone else's idea and their money. Read more
