Our goal is to bring wellness, inspiration, healing, spirituality, joy and kindness to the world. We believe that by improving the quality of a person's life, we also contribute to making the world itself a better place. We work to build community around a culture of wisdom, compassion, inclusivity, love, respect for the earth, and mindfulness. Our holistic approach makes for an eclectic, yet inter-related collection of books, CDs, natural remedies, crystals, jewelry, icons, herbs, incense, candles, journals, and other creative spiritual tools and gifts that support healing, personal growth and well-being.Established in 1990 on Harbord Street, Wonderworks is located in the historical Annex neighbourhood, adjacent to the University of Toronto's downtown campus. Search For fifteen years, Balfour Books lived at the heart of Toronto's Little Italy at the corner of College and Clinton. Always a cozy and inviting spot for a daytime destination or an evening's browsing, made all the more so with the help of its resident store dogs (now fondly missed). In September of 2010, Balfour Books moved down the street to a brand new location at 468 College. Our new store is brighter, but our atmosphere is just as inviting. And our shelves still stock the best in used art, photography architecture, design, graphic and illustrated, fiction, poetry, drama, cooking, mystery, fashion, childrens, biography, philosophy and opera books in the city. Come join us for a look.

Snow Lion provides meditation classes and lectures in an effort to provide our community with a helpful and safe environment to explore various types of meditation practices. Participants will have an opportunity to connect with different teachers and teaching centres. Our lectures follow a theme each year built on previous themes dealing with the human condition. Our lectures and presentations are not necessarily Buddhist in content although all guided by the values of wisdom and compassion. Each of our presenters are speaking from the point of view of their own personal journey along paths within Buddhism as well as contemplative Christian, Sufic and other traditions.
