At. St. Clement’s Early Learning School (SCELS), we believe that the early childhood years should be filled with opportunities for exploration, discovery and vital development. It is a time when a child must discover that learning is worthwhile, exciting, rewarding and fun. As well, this journey of discovery needs to take place in a warm, secure environment which supports children in their academic, social, emotional and physical growth.
Regardless of faith or cultural heritage, all families are welcome in the SCELS community of learners.
It is our objective at SCELS to identify the needs of the children in our programs and to plan for the successful fulfillment of those needs..Our continuing commitment to small class size enables children to make choices, to solve problems and to learn to think independently.
I have sent both of my children to this school; my eldest attended from grades 3-5 and my youngest attended from CASA PS-SK. Both children greatly benefitted from the warmth of the teachers, the principal and the rest of the school community. Their academics improved greatly. Since leaving BMS my children often speak of fond memories of their time there. They have excelled in their current schooling, extracting from the confidence of their learning at Barrie Montessori School!Read more
Treetop Day Nursery is incorporated as a non-profit organization and was established in 1983 by a group of parents in conjunction with the Toronto Board of Education in response to a survey which indicated a need for childcare services among families in north Toronto. Treetop is located in Oriole Park Public School (at Avenue Road and Eglinton) and has been offering quality childcare and nursery school programs to preschool children from two and one half to six years of age since September 1983. In September 1985, we expanded our program to include schoolage childcare for the children of Oriole Park who are between the ages of six and nine. In 1989, we received approval to include some ten year olds. We are now licensed to accept children up to 12 years of age.
The primary purpose of Children's Garden Nursery School is to provide the community with a program that responds to not only the intellectual and physical needs, but also to the emotional and social needs of the developing child. Like flowers in a well-tended garden, our children will be given a special place, within a natural environment, where they will be allowed to grow and blossom at their own individual pace, and where they will be respected for their own unique contribution to the group.
