The only real question is what stage are you currently experiencing?There are five components to consider in the aging process; chronological age, physical makeup or wellness, basic personality, spiritual health and cultural influence.Generally, in this culture, aging refers to people in their elder years, as if they are the only ones aging. What is being referred to as the aging process is the normative developmental changes over a life span. In childhood, we learn the security of dependence and socialization. During youth, we experience an introspective, egocentric time and develop our sense of identity through relationships, skills, knowledge, physicality and independence. Young Adulthood is where we cement our identity, develop beliefs, friends, families and/or career. Adulthood is the 'sandwich generation' for many North Americans raising children and supporting the elderly while often handling careers

Dr. James Ji grew up in the Aldergrove area. Now a dentist at Aldergrove Village Dental, Dr. Ji began his university education in a completely different direction from dentistry. He enrolled in Engineering Physics, a five year engineering program from UBC. After three years at UBC, he worked for National Research Council Canada for a short period of time. He then moved to Toronto to continue pursuing his study in Material Science and Engineering at University of Toronto. It was there that Dr. Ji found a great interest in biomaterial, particularly dental material. At this time Dr. Ji decided to enter dentistry to pursuit his interests further. He attended the University of Western Ontario where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, graduating in 1998. It was in university that he met his wife of 17 years. After moving back to B.C. they started a family and have two children. Contact Dr. Ji to schedule an appointment.

Dr. Russell moved back to White Rock, British Columbia in 1995 after spending 2 years in Kelowna, BC. He opened up the Semiahmoo Wellness Center with several health practitioners to offer an integrative approach to health care to the community. Dr. Russell uses a sound, rational, whole body approach in his diagnosis and evaluation of his patients. He believes the principle of prevention and identifying the cause of the problem is the key to attaining and maintaining optimal function and health.
