Excellent. What a wonderfully authentic hole in the wall. Though the servers struggled in communicating, they were warm and efficient. I have had a lot of great Japanese, and this is right up there. The food was so fresh and evidently high quality. The prices are reasonable as well. Will come back and recommend

Signature dish !!! Don't miss it !!! It wasn't on the menu when I first started going there 20 years ago but somehow word got out.......what a bummer ! You will never taste anything like it. Rivals California's Matsushita or Blue Fin which costs $250 pp and reservations 3 months in advance. Best Sushi in Toronto for sure !!!

Seriously, best restaurant i have been to! Donatello on Elm in Toronto - the service was sooo good - made very special by our knowlwedgable server! The food - sublime! I highly recommend it! What a night!!! The lamb was perfect, and the seafood pasta in a pernod cream sauce to die for. Such wondeful hosts! OMG!They even wrote Happy Birthday Michelle in chocolate around my tiramisu. Such a special night!

How does this place have such a middling rating? Is it simply THE place to watch a game. Any game.
As great as the setting is for watching sports, for me the food and beer selection are the heroes.
The "wing king" chef earns his title, and the range of beers wipes the floor with Bier Markt.
Yes, it's busy on game nights. Might have something to do with being situated next to the ACC, and a stones-throw away from the Dome.

O’Grady’s’ menu has a large selection of dishes that are typical of a neighbourhood pub or restaurant. Sandwiches include the clubhouse, BLT, Western and grilled cheese, to name a few. Salads include tossed, Caesar, Greek and julienne vegetables. With a name like O’Grady’s you’d expect some British fare and the pub doesn’t disappoint with the shepherd’s pie and Scotch meat pie. Popular nachos are also on the menu, as well as an all day breakfast. O’Grady’s even offers souvlaki. Burgers are available with all the fixings one might expect – bacon, cheese, mushrooms – as well as some completely unexpected toppers. More than a dozen draft beers plus a few micro brews are available to accompany your meal.

O’Grady’s offers comfortable surroundings on both floors, with dark hardwood tables and chairs. A long bar graces the main floor, with several stools to sit on while you enjoy a solo pint. Cafe Diplomatico was first opened in 1968 by Rocco Mastrangelo Sr., shortly thereafter younger brother Paul came on board. The brothers envisioned having a typical Italian bar where Italian nationals could gather in the morning over coffee. At a time in Toronto when outdoor dining was almost unheard of, the sunny patio quickly caught on and now almost 4 decades later what started out as an innovation in the neighborhood has now set the standard.
Over the years the popularity of the Diplomatico has caused the bar to expand into a full restaurant eventually taking over the store next door as well.
