Les Foley Construction provides environmentally friendly steel docks for Muskoka lakes. Les Foley created the company over 30 years ago. He began with building crib docks and barging materials. He quickly decided that there is a better way to build a stronger and more environmentally friendly dock. With this in mind he created his own design and built the first steel dock in 1988. He continued to build steel docks and designed an upper structure that is able to support a variety of boatlifts and be the supporting structure for any boathouse or boat port. He was extremely dedicated to his business and the customers that he met. Since his passing the family members are continuing to uphold his values at Les Foley Construction.
My husband & I were on vacation in the Bracebridge/Muskoka area when we ran into car trouble. When we arrived at C.T. Bracebridge Dave & Peter went above and beyond to help us, they not only got our car up on the hoist right away BUT drove us to our cruise on Lady Muskoka so we would not miss it while our car was being fixed. They made us feel welcome, treated us with respect & kindness we cannot say enough about these two men as well as the shop. If I could give 10 stars I would! Bravo guys! Read more
In 1871, a Mr. James S. Johntson, Merchant, began a business in Barrie dealing in coal, wood, cements and building supplies. Sixteen year old Walter Sarjeant went to work with Mr. Johnston and, after a few years learning the business, entered into a partnership forming 'Johnston and Sarjeant' in 1889.
Robert G. Allen founded the company after graduating from the prestigious Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture in 1977.
The School required a rigorous academic and intensive practical three-year apprenticeship. Moving back to his home area Robert quickly became aware of the desperate need for conscientious landscaping in Muskoka’s unique environment.
"We have built an energetic team of multi-talented individuals enabling us to effectively and beautifully design, build or garden the appropriate landscape environment to suit everyone…and everything."
