The Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club was incorporated in 1957 by a group of conservation minded outdoorsmen in the White Rock, Surrey and Langley area. The primary focus of the group was the restoration of the local Little Campbell River that had been severely damaged by years of unregulated gravel removal in the watershed.

The Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition Association is the non-profit organization that manages the world famous Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair held every year on the May long weekend at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds in Surrey, British Columbia.
The name 'Cloverdale' eventually evolved by the railway engineers who worked at the station at Clover Valley. Around 1872 settlers started to arrive in the region known as Surrey Centre. One of the first settlers was Abraham Huck and his wife Nancy who arrived from Kansas.
