The First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston is a liberal religious community that promotes values of peace, love, and understanding while encouraging individual spiritual exploration and social justice efforts.
After a year of being the interim pastor, Kim was called to the role of lead pastor at Braeside in the summer of 2008. Just prior to her pastoral work she had returned to school to complete theological studies earning a Master of Divinity degree. She and her husband Gerald have been long time members of Braeside Church. They have a daughter Ashley, married to Donavon, and a son Brandon.
