Oxfam is a global organization working to end the injustice of poverty and inequality by focusing on women's rights. That's why at Oxfam Canada, we work in three critical areas:
HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE
We provide emergency aid when disaster strikes or conflict breaks out.
LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT
We support projects that help people assert their rights and build better lives.
ADVOCACY & CAMPAIGNING
We work to change the laws and practices that perpetuate inequality and keep people trapped in poverty.
We help people impacted by dementia in Ottawa. Our Dementia Care Coaches provide guidance, resources, education and social programs for both people living with dementia and their caregivers. We are your community of support, because no one should face dementia alone.
Since 1897, Carefor Health & Community Services, a registered charity and non for profit organization, has been helping families stay together longer at home by providing home health care and community services.
Our services include home care including nursing, personal support services and rehabilitation services; community support services, retirement homes including two retirement homes in Pembroke, a retirement home in Richmond, Ontario for women living with dementia and a Hospice in Cornwall.
The founding chapter of the Victorian Order of Nurses, Carefor has been providing care to seniors and people living with disabilities across Eastern Ontario for generations.
