Mill St. Brewery officially opened in December 2002. The brewery began in an original tank house within the historic Gooderham & Worts Distillery complex, now known as the Historic Distillery District. Seriously, best restaurant i have been to! Donatello on Elm in Toronto - the service was sooo good - made very special by our knowlwedgable server! The food - sublime! I highly recommend it! What a night!!! The lamb was perfect, and the seafood pasta in a pernod cream sauce to die for. Such wondeful hosts! OMG!They even wrote Happy Birthday Michelle in chocolate around my tiramisu. The food at this Financial District lunch spot stays pretty close to home, celebrating the bounty of southern Ontario with dishes like ricotta gnocchi with forest mushrooms, farmhouse pork sausage and the signature Hawthorne burger. Everyone raves about the French fries, and you do yourself no favours by passing up the flourless chocolate cake. Hawthorne is partnered with the Hospitality Workers Training Centre, meaning the staff here is happy and well supported from on high.

Fabulous food! I have walked by on several occasions and was certainly not disappointed when finally trying their place. You can tell the food is made from scratch and with skill. The real buffalo mozzarella in the caprese is a nice change and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Ambiance was nice and relaxed, not overly noisy. Waiters are very nice and attentive. Wine list is impressive. Biagio himself was nice enough to introduce himself at our table; A very pleasant surprise. Apparently they have monthly wine tasting events too. We will definitely return. Nami Japanese Restaurant is located in the downtown core, is considered one of Toronto's finest authentic Japanese restaurants and has been well for over 30 years. Nami is traditional Japanese cuisine served in a simple, modern setting. Walking through the front door is like taking a trip to Kyoto.
