The Youth and Volunteer Centre of Red Deer is a non-profit grass roots community based volunteer agency which has been serving Central Alberta for more than 40 years. The Youth and Volunteer Centre governs distinct independent programs. Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Boys and Girls Club are two nationally affiliated organizations. The other programs within the agency include the 49th Street Youth Shelter, and Camp Alexo. Our mission at the Youth at the Youth and Volunteer Centre is to empower children and youth to develop confidence and skills for life through knowledge, healthy relationships and quality experiences.
Parkinson Alberta helps make every day better for Albertans affected by Parkinson disease. We provide support services, education, advocacy and funds for research.We are a standalone Alberta-based charitable organization and we rely on the generosity of donors. One hundred per cent of the money raised here funds the best services, resources and research to benefit Albertans.

Central Alberta's Safe Harbour Society for Health and Housing was formed on April 11, 2007. This uniqueagency is the result of the amalgamation of three non for profit agencies serving the community ofCentral Alberta, the Safe Harbour Society (detox and overnight shelter for individuals who are highor intoxicated), the Red Deer Residential Society (transitional housing units) and the Central AlbertaHousing Society (homeless shelter and transitional housing).
