Signature dish !!! Don't miss it !!! It wasn't on the menu when I first started going there 20 years ago but somehow word got out.......what a bummer ! You will never taste anything like it. This is the closest Brampton will get to having a little taste of Britain. It is the best fish and chip I have had since back home. The cod light batter and chip are to die for. Their chicken pot pies and chip are also a good bet for those who don't like fish. The breaded chicken strips are amazing as well, you can get alone with chips or in a wrap.
The menu is very extensive for a fish and chip place. Beats Heritage Fish and Chip by far. Gott's the fish is fresh, bigger and more value for your $$$.
The service is good, the employees know their stuff and make recommendations if you are not sure.
I have been many many many times and the service and the food is always the same - really good!

We decided to go to McNies on a Saturday for lunch. We were greated by a very pleasant woman who would be our server. Our food arrived quickly and was great, the fish was nicely battered (not too heavily battered but not skimpy either). The service was also great, my boyfriend decided to get extra fries with his meal and our server told the kitchen to start them while we were eating so that when he was ready to eat them they would still be warm.

My husband and I came here for lunch with our three boys and we were not disappointed! Three of us ordered the fish and chips - husband said they were the best in the City he has ever had. Light batter and lots of fish. I had a small greek salad with extra chicken - very tasty, and the chicken was tender and well seasoned. My middle child had the "killer" burger and he was very pleased. Portions were very good, price was right and everything tasted great. Not your greasy spoon type - very clean
