Hands down the best quality of ingredients and dish presentation in the area.Not pub food which is what most other eating establishments in town are. Owner and wait staff are friendly but not intrusive.It is pricey but quality costs money. Retrofit makes the small setting more comfortable. Highly recommend.

I want to thank Kimmie, our server for outstanding service! My sister and I were treating my ill Uncle and Aunt to a very special take-out lunch. She thought of everything and more to include, even the lobster bibs. The day was more than special and primarily it was due to her thoughtfullness! While waiting for our food, my husbands sugar crashed and he felt horrible, sweaty, shaky, dizzy.. the staff noticed something was wrong and immediately sprang into action. They offered orange juice and some ice for his neck.... by the time he felt better we didn’t want to eat... they packed up our food and the manager took care of the bill. They went over and above... now that’s customer service! Thank you Kelsey’s for turning a bad experience into a good one!

i hav e been going to the brass since i came to kingston for school five years ago. the brass isnt really known for its food for good reason, its a bar, but there breakfest hits the spot on a hang over sunday. have you ever noticed that the brass has the best looking staff in kingston? Nothing like being served beer by beautiful women!!!!! it doesnt really get any better then that!!!!!!

Decent clean food, HUGE portions. Really nice qulity food but we were rushd to put our order in. Nevertheless, we enjoyed take out and will return for seconds and thirds. By comparitive standards, this place is excellent in this small city and the food is comparable to what you will find in a big city like Montreal or Kingston. Tasty but a wee bit expensive. Oh and ONE plate is large enough for two people.
