Brookside Auto Body was started by Tony & Margarida Cabral in the early '80's, on what was originally Brookside Blvd. Tony started working as an auto body technician when he immigrated to Canada in early '70's. After several years, Tony was determined to realize his dream of owning his own business. Since its inception the business it has grown in physical space with an additional 4500 sq. ft. and a new state of the art commercial size paint booth. Now in it's second generation the business continues to grow under the leadership of Tony's son, Gilbert Cabral.

In 1994, Cosimo Minnella founder and CEO of Salon Centre realized his dream when he began his beauty supply business Joico North. Cosimo inherited his love of the beauty industry from his family - one of Canada's largest hairdressing families with over 90 hairdressers in total! After 3 years of working in his home town of Thunder Bay Cosimo and his wife Connie moved west to Winnipeg where they purchased Joico Manitoba now known as Salon Centre. With a lot of hard work, passion for the beauty industry and a dedicated staff Cosimo has grown Salon Centre from a staff of 3 employees and 1 location to a staff of over 40 with 4 locations covering 3 provinces.
