Thank you, I went in the store today to purchase a bag for a young man down on his luck and your staff were incredible, supportive and caring. I really appreciate the caring and giving manner that your staff presented. It brought me to tears, to see such good people. Thank you again. The young man was in wonder and shock at receiving such a gift from people who did not know him, I included Sport Chek as part of gift giving because your staff gave me such a great deal and were so kind.Read more

Off-Grid Thinking Since The Late 1900’s
For many people, the words “Off-Grid” conjure images of hippies & hermits. Of gardens & goats in some remote patch of forest. For others, it simply means flipping the bird at the power utility.
At Modern Outpost, the words off-grid are synonymous with independence. A willingness to do more with less instead of less with more. To be something of a contrarian to the musings of the Anthropocene.
We see off-grid thinking as the incorporation of mindfulness & sustainable practices into the daily routines of family, community, & recreation. Recognition of the difference between a ‘need’ and a ‘want’, and making educated, ethical decisions in that regard.
So, welcome to Modern Outpost. A comprehensive source of solar equipment for Canadians, provided as efficiently as possible, and always with personal support.
Sunshine Coast Health Center officially opened on the 15th of March, 2004, as a 16-bed drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility designed exclusively for men. Original ownership saw the need for privately-funded addiction rehabilitation and had the land, buildings and experience in residential group care to make it possible. The first two years were difficult but, over time, referring health professionals and the general public took notice of the benefits of an intimate, male-only facility that offered an extended stay (longer than 28 days) in an exceptional setting. Today, Sunshine Coast Health Center continues to combine the basics of recovery with the latest in innovative addiction therapies.
