John Russell graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1989, and has been in private practice since that time. John has received extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy and exercise science courses. He has been an international instructor of St. John Neuromuscular Therapy seminars, as well as Muscle Balance and Function exercise courses. John has been a member of an integrated health team with Dr. Khan and Dr. Yasin, as well as a Massage Therapist for the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League and the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League. John has completed the five years of study at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2008. He continues to study and practice manual osteopathic technique.

Before the advent of settlers in the late 1800's, the area now known as Burnaby was a land of tall trees and wilderness. The earliest pioneers settled the area and the City of Burnaby developed very slowly until 1887. The Canadian Pacific Railway was extended into Vancouver from the Port Moody terminal.
