Wilf decided to move to Squamish in the early 1970s where the company moved into land development as well as construction. Land development is currently the company's main focus.W. Dowad Limited's daily business is now conducted by members of the family. His daughter Kathie Smillie is the President of the company. She also co-owns the construction company G. Smillie Holdings with her husband Graham. Norm Dowad, a corporate lawyer, completes the management team.
