I have never made an appointment and I have never waited more than 10 minutes to get a haircut. Been going there for 10 years. I don’t always get the same hair stylist but the cut is always excellent and the staff are really nice and professional. I highly recommend Hair Mates.

I have been a customer here for approx 5 years. The staff takes the time to know the customers and learn about what they like. When i walk into House of Russell, I feel like family. They remember what hair style I like and know how to treat me. All of the hair dressers are experienced but keep very up to date on modern hair styles. I would recommend House of Russell to anyone who wants the service and attention of a high class salon without the high price. The clinic staff are really friendly and everyone truly cared about helping me get better. After one session with my therapist I was able to move again. I received hands on treatment and education for preventing future injuries. I highly recommend this clinic.

Washed my hair for free, almost exclusively used scissors rather than an electric shaver so no loud noise and IMO a better cut anyway, didn't complain when I had to get cash out of the ATM next door, and didn't mind talking to pass the time.
I also got one of the best haircuts I've ever had out of it, for the same price as I would have payed in the city for an assembly line, all shaver, in and out ASAP hack and slash.

My wife guided me to Haircats as an excellent place to get my hair cut after her long time stylist, Anna, rented out one of the chairs there. Wow was she ever right! Anna cuts my hair as is she has been cutting it for the last 20 years. I've never had a stylist who has been able to know what to do to that will work with my hair so well. If Anna is not available it seems like all of the other stylists at this shop are a friendly group and the way the shop bustles almost all the time there seems to be a good amount of repeat clientele...always a good sign. They also offer a good selection of products and use those products in the salon as well. What's more the walls are ever changing with a rotating exhibition of art from local artists. If you see something you really like you can even buy it! Located near the corner of Broadway and MacDonald Haircats is centrally located and easy to get to or pop into as you stroll the shops of Broadway in Kits. If you are looking for a wonderful place to get your hair cut and styled Haircats is a great place to go!
