We are Maids Cottage regulars and have rarely if ever been disappointed. The food is as close to home cooked as you will ever get in any restaurant, in any city, anywhere in the world. We're not talking Haute Cuisine here but Comfort Food. Any of the rare times there has been anything that I didn't like or took to long (they can be very,very busy at times) the staff has been more than accommodating about making it right. The service is fast, friendly and personal. And yes the butter tarts are as good as everyone says.

It wasn't long until she found the perfect spot right across the road, for her 'dream shop' where she set up her one table establishment and introduced homemade foods, baked goods, and preserves.People were quick to discover how delicious her cooking was, especially our family's secret butter tart recipe. Debbie joined forces shortly after opening as business was booming and Mom needed help. After one year they expanded the business to a larger location up the street where we still operate today. As they say 'If you bake, they will come' and they did indeed. Our one table establishment quickly grew.Our Mom always believed in treating her customers like part of the family andmaking them feel welcome. In 2001 Pam came on board to be a part of our now very successful business and sadly the same year Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer to which she succumbed to in September 2003.
