One of the best sales Al ever made was to Bea, and the story goes that she loved the Toyota so much she married the salesman. With a background in agricultural science, wildlife studies and habitat mapping, Bea's introduction to the world of retail came when she and Al made a joint decision to open Bluenose Motor Co. Ltd. Bea's concern for the environment continues to be expressed in the Bluenose philosophy of environmentally responsible decision-making. In a relatively short period of time, Al and Bea have established a business that defies the stigma of the typical used car lot. The goal of the Bluenose Motor team is to offer the highest quality in pre-owned vehicles and the utmost in customer service. Bluenose Motor has an established reputation as a good place to do business and a company that values its connections to the community. Al currently serves as a Director on the boards of the Automobile Retailers Association of British Columbia, the Vehicle Sales Authority, and the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce. He is an active Rotarian and has just recently been elected to the position of Public Relations Chair for the Rotary Club of Parksville AM.
