At. St. Clement’s Early Learning School (SCELS), we believe that the early childhood years should be filled with opportunities for exploration, discovery and vital development. It is a time when a child must discover that learning is worthwhile, exciting, rewarding and fun. As well, this journey of discovery needs to take place in a warm, secure environment which supports children in their academic, social, emotional and physical growth.
Regardless of faith or cultural heritage, all families are welcome in the SCELS community of learners.
It is our objective at SCELS to identify the needs of the children in our programs and to plan for the successful fulfillment of those needs..Our continuing commitment to small class size enables children to make choices, to solve problems and to learn to think independently.
Welcome to Shoore. For many children learning is a frustrating process. Whether it's because the pace is too fast, or because a learning problem such as ADHD, has restricted the student's potential, the results are usually the same - resistance, frustration and failure. With 45 years of experience in education, I know first-hand that traditional schools may not always be able to recognize or address learning problems. At the same time though, I have seen what children with learning differences can accomplish when they are placed in a supportive learning environment suited to their needs.
Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate has a 40-year history of excellence. The school maintains high expectations for its students, assisted by a highly dedicated staff. Students experience a learning environment where academics, athletic and artistic excellence, and student safety are a priority. We are confident that when our students leave Macdonald, they are well prepared for any future directions they may choose. Eighty percent of our graduates are accepted into university programs, and last year almost one-third were offered scholarships. Macdonald is a student-centred school where students feel they belong - a complete community school. It is part of a Grade 1 to 12 school campus shared with J.B. Tyrrell Senior Public School and Fairglen Public School, a unique partnership offering a continuum of music education with an integration of music teaching staffs among the schools.
