Peak Publishing Ltd. began operation in November 1995, as a paid-subscription publication distributed every Wednesday. A Weekend Shopper is provided to homes from Saltery Bay to Lund, including Texada Island. Within the city of Powell River, The Peak is delivered from house to house by carriers. Its carrier force, including youngsters and adults, numbers more than 100. All homes within the municipality receive the Shopper on Friday. Rural readers receive their Shoppers via conveniently located drop boxes, often next to Canada Post mail boxes. An area breakdown of delivery is provided each week and the numbers are audited by an independent organization.
