Members InfoAbout UsThe Manitoba Camping Association (MCA) and Sunshine Fund are a registered charity that provides financial support to children and youth whose families experience financial barriers that prevent them from participating in healthy recreation activities. Each year, MC,a through the Sunshine Fund, sends approximately 750 children to various camp programs throughout Manitoba. Our goal is to raise enough money to provide at least 1000 children per year with the opportunity to experience camp and all that it has to offer, both now and in the future.

Arcane Horizon Inc is a not for profit organization incorporated on July 19,1995 to support two men to live in their own home in the community. The agency was formed when the parents of these two men determined they could develop a more suitable support model for their sons. These parents with the assistance of Family Services, Association for Community Living and Prairie Places Inc. founded the agency.The agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors predominantly comprised of family members of individuals we support. The agency was founded on the Gentle Teaching Philosophy - this means that our first task is to build a bridge of companionship between those whom we serve and their support network. We build on our belief that all people have a deep longing to feel at home with others, and are called to come together in a spirit of companionship and community.This approach to care giving is based on a psychology of human interdependence that sees all change as mutual and as bringing or deepening feelings of companionship and community.

At this meeting we passed our constitution. On April 23, 2002 we held our first Annual General Assembly and elected our first LRTA Executive. We received our charter at the Annual General Meeting of the Manitoba Teachers' Society on May 23, 2002.The Louis Riel Teachers' Association represents over 1100 members who are employed by the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD). We are the third largest teacher association in the Province of Manitoba. Villa Rosa is a prenatal and postnatal residence offering a wide variety of programs in a safe and nurturing environment. Any single, pregnant woman or new mother may access our services.There is no cost to any resident of Manitoba not living in a First Nation community - block funding through the Province of Manitoba and the United Way allows Villa Rosa to provide all services free of charge to young women who are pregnant and need a safe and healthy place to stay. However, Villa Rosa is not financially responsible for transportation, spending money, clothing needs, personal needs or medication. Women living on their First nation may be eligible to receive service on a per diem basis.Villa Rosa's mission is to provide educational, health and social services to young single women and their families during and after pregnancy, in the Province of Manitoba. Programs are offered in a safe, nurturing environment that encourages personal growth, and carried out in a fiscally responsible, culturally competent manner
