Scout Magazine – launched in late 2008 by local writers/photographers Andrew Morrison and Michelle Sproule – is Vancouver's leading food and culture website. Its main objective has been the same from the start: to 'scout out' and promote the things that make Vancouver such a sweet place to be. It does this with an emphasis on the city's independent spirit to foster a sense of connectedness within and between our communities, and to introduce our readers to the people who grow and cook our food, play the raddest tunes in our better venues, create our most interesting art, and design everything from what we wear to the spaces we inhabit.

I have a passion for art! I love working with my hands and a good challenge.
My goal is to make every cake as unique as possible for every client. Whether it's figure modeling, hand painting, sculpting or even a landscape. If you see something you like, rather than replicate it, I would much rather tailor it to you, or whoever you're surprising!
Some friends of ours recommended Dalana with The Cake and the Giraffe to us, and it was a fantastic choice! We described what we wanted, and the cake was more beautiful than we could have imagined. The cake was not only absolutely delicious, but it was stunning to look at. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice, and we would highly recommend Dalana! We will certainly use her again for anniversaries and parties!Read more
