Lawrence Park Community Church is friendly. Our diverse congregation knows how to welcome newcomers, help them fit in, and leave them wanting to come back soon. We are radically inclusive and affirming. Our approach to the Christian faith is progressive and contemporary. We worship a God who is more 'within and among' us than 'beyond.' We proclaim Jesus as our Way to life, even while recognizing that he is not the only way.
Abbeyfield is a non-profit housing option for seniors. Abbeyfield offers seniors the opportunity to have the privacy of their own living area and the support of a house coordinator who manages the building and cooks meals. Each House creates a sense of 'belonging' that is truly preventative medicine. With a history of nearly five decades, our statistics show that most Abbeyfield residents take on a new lease on life. They are more fit and more inclined to enjoy active lives without needing extended care.
My mom and dad have recently been admitted into the Heritage Nursing Home in Toronto. Although my parents have never ever lived in a home other than their own, they settled down very quickly. My father had been to a hospital for a very serious treatment and he and my mother were admitted straight from the hospital to the home. As with all elderly couples, my parents had their individualism, but all their whims were attended to with care. They are now very happy with their new home and I and the rest of the siblings are so relieved and happy.Read more
