As both a professional acupuncturist and registered massage therapist, Devon has experienced the power of combining these therapies, in turn extending or amplifying the effectiveness of each. The method of combining acupuncture and massage therapy allows her to achieve changes in muscles and fascia that might otherwise take numerous sessions when using each technique alone. For instance, massage therapy is effective at increasing blood circulation, aligning muscle fibres and breaking up fascial restrictions; and a manual stretch can return a shortened muscle to its healthy length. When used with Acupuncture she can target deep structures that massage can’t reach, and in turn decrease inflammation and pain, and speed up the healing process.

I am licensed with the city of Edmonton and registered with the MTAA (Massage Therapist Association of Alberta) which gives me a registration number required for people to claim their treatments through their extended health care plans. I was trained at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver completing the three years, 3100 hours program in 1999.
