Jackson's Meats & Deli is unique from its competition in that it is the oldest Meat Market .As a result of Jackson's longevity in the meat industry, a wealth of knowledge has been passed down between generations. As butchers, the Jackson family talents are unparalleled. Plus more knowledge was brought to the table when Chris Jackson married Shayna Cooper, daughter of the former President of retail food chain Coopers Foods, Wayne Cooper.
Great place for fresh tasty meats and they also have a good selection of spices, rubs and sauces. I usually get the garlic and rosemary marinated chicken (they recently added curry) and the ribs for a feast with the boys. A good amount of fixings too. Read more
My business offers a unique, valuable and much needed service to Nanaimo. The size of the bus (easier to get in and out of than a van, more friendly than a large highway bus) is comfortable for the seniors. We will get to beauty spots and historic and cultural sites, visit art and craft studios while supporting artists and merchants, restaurants, growers and coastal sightseeing operators. Trips are not merely a bus ride from A to B but include side trips to hidden gems around local communities, which vary with the weather and the whim of the group. All this while sharing experiences and conversations with new friends, keeping the participants interested and active, thus contributing to quality of life and good health, avoiding the incidence of isolation, anxiety and illness/depression which are a risk for retirees.

A casual fine-dining restaurant on the White Rock's waterfront, specializing in seafood dishes and sourcing local ingredients where possible.
I thought that the staff was great, the food was delicious, the wait was not long at all, and the atmosphere was really fun! They had a great menu (much of their ingredients were either local or home-made) and their patio seats have one of the best views of the beach I've ever seen. The place itself was very clean and cozy. I would definitely give it 5 stars out of 5 and I will definitely be returning to try out other menu options. Really easy to find as it is just across from the pier. One of the highlights of my trip to the beach and a must try for anybody looking for an awesome place to eat in White Rock. :) Read more

I don't think you can go wrong with that place. I went there for my birthday, best service I had and how great to enjoy the melody of the piano in the background. The filet mignon was great and I can't wait to try the oysters and hopefully I get lucky enought to sit on the roof top patio during summer! Read more
