This practice offers individual and relationship counselling, both online and in person, for those navigating anxiety, life transitions, low self-worth, and relationship challenges. The approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and client-centered, drawing from a blend of evidence-based, somatic, and relational modalities. Clients are supported in a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore their experiences, shift unhelpful patterns, and build greater self-trust, clarity, and connection. Free 20-minute consultations are available to see if it’s a good fit.
I offer counselling to individuals, couples and families, including adults and youth. I am a registered clinical social worker and have been in practice for over 30 years. I can assist you with relationship and family issues; parenting; helpful approaches to managing stress and anxiety; overcoming depression; recovery from eating disorders and addictions, trauma-based guilt and shame, self-esteem, peer issues, life transitions, and changing self-defeating behaviours through mindfulness approaches. I have a special interest in assisting families undergoing the painful process of separation and divorce, including individual adults as well as youth. I bring a rich background of knowledge and experience, as well as a strong belief that we have everything we need in our being to shift our view of who we are and how we live our daily lives. I welcome your questions and a conversation.

I have been offering counselling services to children and youth in B.C. for 20 years. I worked for a time on the mainland, but returned home to the Island 8 years ago with my husband to raise our son. I am honoured that you are interested in my services and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been described as slightly non-conventional in the counselling world, which suits me perfectly, and also tends to suit children and youth who are trying to stand up to the force of the problems in their life. I am very comfortable working with this population, and I feel fortunate that I can connect with kids and teens the way I do, conventionally or in a way that makes sense to them. I believe that people hold many stories about themselves, but when they seek me out, it is usually because they are focused on stories about their problems.
